Frederic RemingtonMaterials & Quality
Every Frits & Co piece is printed, matted and framed to order by the same production partner, and held to the same professional standards, as Ninth & Willow and GregOlsen.com.
Printing
All of our prints are premium giclées, made on state-of-the-art printers equipped with archival-grade pigment inks. We print on premium paper and canvas from leading manufacturers.
Sizes
Seven image sizes, from 6×8 to 24×33 inches. The image size is the artwork itself. The overall size also includes anything around it, such as a mat or frame.
Paper or canvas
- Paper ships flat and arrives ready to frame, with no mat or a 2, 3 or 4 inch mat.
- Canvas, mounted on board. We do not stretch canvas; we mount it to board instead. Stretched canvas loosens over time with changes in temperature and humidity and has to be re-stretched by a framer, and it is easier to puncture or dent. Mounting removes that maintenance and greatly reduces damage. Ships flat, ready to frame.
- Canvas, rolled ships in a tube and will need to be stretched or mounted before it is framed.
- Canvas, framed comes in any of our 10 frames.
Mats
Our mats are 4-ply, archival, 100% cotton, museum-grade mat board, in 2, 3 or 4 inch widths. Or choose no mat.
Frames
Ten frames: Black Matte, White Matte, Light Wood, Light Walnut, Soft Gray, Walnut, Classic Black, Classic Gold, Classic Silver and Brushed Gold. Our wood frames are custom cut and hand-assembled, and each piece is carefully inspected to make sure it meets our quality standards.
Cover & finish
Every framed art print includes a protective cover, chosen to suit the mat:
- Matted prints (2, 3 or 4 inch mat): Clear Acrylic. A high-quality glass alternative. Lightweight, shatterproof, transparent material that helps protect artwork from dust and fingerprints.
- Prints with no mat: Mount & Coat. Artwork is mounted to 1/8" board and then coated with a UV water-resistant coating that protects and adds texture.
- Framed canvas is coated with a UV water-resistant coating and displayed without glass.
Ready to hang
Framed pieces include premium archival backing and pre-installed hanging hardware.
Production and shipping
Orders usually ship within 3 to 10 business days, depending on size and framing. We ship within the United States only. See Shipping & Returns.
